Intel Visual Computing Institute

The Intel Visual Computing Institute (Intel VCI) is a joint initiative by the Intel Corporation, Saarland University, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).

The research topics of the Intel Visual Computing Institute cover the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image Processing, CAD, Interactive Simulation, Geometry Processing, Animation, Human Computer Interaction, Parallel Programming and Compiler.

Visual Computing fuses together methods and ideas from all these fields, to solve complex problems with visual methods and make the results more easily understandable.
